Making a scarf for my daughter has been on my to-do list for well over a year. Now that fall has arrived, I decided she simply cannot go without a scarf this year! After looking at several photos of toddler scarves and reading through a few patterns, I came up with this one. I am thrilled with how it turned out!

This pattern is great for beginners.
Wavy Infinity Scarf
Size – Toddler
Hook size – H (5.00mm)
Row 1: Ch 22
Row 2: hdc in third ch from hook, *hdc in next 2 ch, 3 hdc in next ch, hdc in next 2 ch, skip 1 ch, reapeat from * twice, hdc in last ch, ch 2, turn.
Row 3: in back loops only – hdc in same st as ch 2, *skip 1 st, hdc in next 2 sts, 3 hdc in next st, hdc in next 2 sts, skip 1 st, repeat from * twice, hdc in last st, ch 2, turn.
Row 4-112 (or until desired length): repeat row 3.
Using a yarn needle, join the last row to the first row to form a loop.
Fasten off. Weave in all ends.
For alternating colours, this is what I did:
main colour – 6 rows
second colour – 6 rows
main colour – 2 rows
second colour – 2 rows
I followed this pattern 7 times.
You can definitely switch up the colours in whichever order you prefer; have some fun with it!
TIP – if you don’t like weaving in all the ends after changing colours, simply carry them up the side of the scarf. Then go around the edges afterward in sc to make a border.
Hello I’m also having a issue with the chevron not lining up
I have been working on the scarf but it seems to keep growing. Is that the way it is spouse to do. And how do I attach the two ends if they are two different sizes?? Your help woukd be greatly appreciated
Hi Kathleen, there should be 23 stitches in each row (not including the ch2). The rows should not grow as you continue to work, so it should line up well in the end. Hope that helps!!
The pattern is also not matching up for me as well?
yes i did so but still has 2 stitcshes in the end of the row.
I made one hdc in the end but still have 2 lift, don’t know what is wrong.
thanks.
may I know how to make “hdc in the same stitch as ch2” in row 3 in the scarf pattern? more details please
thanks for your effort
Hi! It simply means to make sure you don’t skip a stitch. You will hdc in the very first stitch of the row. So the ch2 does not count as a stitch. Hope this helps to clarify!
hi I’d like to do the hat as well do you have the pattern for that? please and thank you,

What size yarn did you use
Hi Janett! I used medium worsted weight yarn.
I like this pattern but want to do it in adult. Would you make it wide?
Hi Chris! Yes, I would suggest making wider rows for adult size. To do so, repeat from *-* multiple times. For every repeat add 6 ch to original ch22. Hope this helps 😀
Love it!!! If I wanted to make this a little wider…what are the multiples??? Thanks!!!
Hi Karen. To make wider rows, simply repeat from *-* multiple times. For every repeat add 6ch to original ch22. Hope this makes sense 😀
Omg! So adorable!
Thanks 😃
Love it!!!
Thank you Cindy 😀
